| | Can't access System folders in the "User" directory. OMG...I'm going insane trying to gain access to the system folders in the "User" dir of Vista build 5384. I have all all the posts and I still can't solve this. Here is what I have done. 1) Disabled UAP in msconfig and rebooted. 2) Enabled "Run all admins in admin approval mode" and changed the "Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users" to "No Prompt" 3) booted in safe mode and created another user and gave it Admin rights. Plus..I was throwing salt over my shoulder and holding my rabbits foot while I was doing all this ,but I get denied everytime I try to access the "Applications" folder within the username folder of the "USER" folder (follow me?) Please tell me there are some magic words to make all this Security go away? Thanks for the help |

| | Re: Can't access System folders in the "User" directory. Hmmm, I have the same build and have no problem opening any subfolders under Users. What do you consider a "system folder" under users? (Or I guess I should ask what folder can't you open, and what happens when you try to open it?).
