Unfortunately, installing Flash Player still seems to be quite problematic
on Vista. Different folks have different problems. However, the steps
described here seem to have helped many:

If that doesn't solve your problem, I'd suggest you try asking in Adobe's
Flash Player user forum. The underlying cause might still be Vista, but the
folks in the Player forum will be better placed to identify which, of the
several known issues, you are facing:

Good luck with it,

Andrew, from my experience, the best way to fix Flash is to use the
standalone installer, or to use the uninstaller before installing it again
in the normal way (ie. using the Adobe webpage installer).

I may not be of much help but after fighting this problem for more than
a month and downloading at least 8 times, and seeking advice on the
newsgroups and going into the FlashPlayer download/help sites, I finally
have a working FlashPlayer. Somewhere, on my drive, I located Shockwave
Flash Object and it was disabled. I enabled it and that solved my
problem. But, I can't remember where it was. I believe you can download
it as part of the Google Toolbar. I always refused that when
downloading but the smart thing to do might be to download it and then
delete when you have Flash Player working.

Re: flash player

FINALLY it's fixed!! TJenkins was right - it DOES fix the problem! So I
figured out how to get there so here it is... Open Internet Explorer, Tools,
Internet Options, Manage Add ons, Shockwave Flash Object (it should be up at
the top) and then click enable (towards the bottom), I believe it will ask
you to restart Internet Explorer, and then WAALAA!! )

THANK YOU TJenkins!!! I have been so frusterated for months trying to fix it
- I too downloaded it SEVERAL times (probably more than 10 x's) UGH!!! I was
so mad! LOL Hopefully this will help others! Have a wonderful evening!!
