problems adding additional language keyboard layouts

I am trying to add an additional language to my keyboard layout (in Vista
Home Premium).

I go to Regional and Language Options. Then I click on Change Keyboards. A
new window lists English (US) as the only installed services. I click on Add,
and a new window pops up with a list of many languages, but the OK button is
not active. Thus, I cannot add any language to my configuration.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi José

It sounds like you're almost there. When the "Add input language" panel
first opens, the OK button is disabled. You need to select a specific
keyboard to add. Then the OK button will become active.

For example, say you want to add a Maori keyboard. Follow the same steps you
already have. Then, scroll down the list of languages to find "Maori (New
Zealand)". Click on the small cross symbol, to expand that branch. You'll
see 2 sub-branches: Keyboard and Other. Click on the cross next to
"Keyboard", to expand that branch. Three keyboards will be listed: Maori,
US, and Other. Check the checkbox next to Maori. Notice that the Ok button
immediately goes from being greyed-out to active. Click on OK. You will now
have a Maori keyboard available, via the language bar.

Once you select a keyboard to add, the OK button becomes active.

Hope this helps,

Re: problems adding additional language keyboard layouts

Thank you very much, Andrew! It work well. Once I opened the options within
the language I found the submenus and everything worked as you suggested.

Good luck in the Rugby World cup!
