Vista crashing after any attempt to save to My Documents folder(s)

Hi, I have a problem where any application I run in Vista Business edition
that attempts to save a file within My Documents or its subfolders crashes.
This is not limited to Microsoft Office, but to anything including save Adobe
pdfs etc.

The problem only occurs with My Documents and its subfolders...and help
would be greatly appreciated!

There is no My Documents folder. My Documents is only a junction (like a
soft link) pointing to the Documents folder in
C:\Users\your-user-name\Documents. So where are you really attempting to
save files? Is this an upgrade from XP or a new computer that came with
Vista preinstalled?

Hi,

There is no "My Documents" in Vista, only a junction point with that name
that redirects program routines looking for it. Try saving to simply
"Documents" or %userprofile%\Documents.
