| | Any solution to save windows sizes and explorer views? I can't get changes to views in Windows Explorer to stick and I can't get Internet Explorer to remain full desktop size. It's funny, but every single time a new version of Windows or Internet Explorer is made they forget this each time. Does anyone have a solution to save windows sizes and explorer views? |

| | RE: Any solution to save windows sizes and explorer views? What do you mean by views? Like size, type, date modified and thumbnails, details etc.? If so then it seems to be related to the type of folder your looking at. On the properties->customize tab. I dont totally have a handle on it yet myself. But for instance if I set up a folder the way I want and then "Apply to folders" in Folder Options, it just applies it to that type. Either All Items, Documents, Pictures and Videos, Music Details, Music Icons. So before you "apply to folders" choose a type in the customize section of the folder that your using as a template. You can also tick the box that says "Also apply this template to all subfolders" if thats appropriate for what your doing. -- (¯`·._.·Ecat·._.·´¯) HP a1230n Athlon 64 Processor 3800+ 1 Gig RAM Radeon X700 "Copenhagen" wrote: > I can't get changes to views in Windows Explorer to stick and I can't get > Internet Explorer to remain full desktop size. > > It's funny, but every single time a new version of Windows or Internet > Explorer is made they forget this each time. > > Does anyone have a solution to save windows sizes and explorer views? |

| | Re: Any solution to save windows sizes and explorer views? For Explorer select the "Remember each folder's View settings" option in Folder Options. (Click the Organize button and choose Folder Options to get to the dialog box). On Internet Explorer I think it works like everything else. It opens at whatever size it was when you closed it. At least, that's how it's always worked for me. If it's maximized when you close it, it should be maximized when you re-open it. Not sure if that's what you mean by "full desktop size" or not. Because there is a larger-than-maximized view in Internet Explorer that you can flip on and off with F11 or View > Full Screen. But if you close that with Alt+F4, it'll reopen with that. At least, it just did for me. | | Re: Any solution to save windows sizes and explorer views? That's only true of IE if you close with the File menu. Not if you close with the red X.
