| | deleted files still showing under Search: I have some .mpg files I deleted, then I Emptied the Recycle Bin. However days later, when I did a Search:, the files showed up. I am unable to open the file (get a "Windows Media Player encountered a problem" error, and I am unable to delete it again (get a "name of the" file does not exist. The file or folder may have been moved or deleted" message). How do I permanently get rid of a file? -- Adam |

| | RE: deleted files still showing under Search: Your Indexing may be stopped or other problems. Type Indexing in the Start/search chose Indexing Options it will tell you status. You can choose Advanced and then Rebuild Index to re-run it. This will take some time especially if you are using the computer for other things. | | Re: deleted files still showing under Search: Look at where the files are located. They are probably shadow copies which you could use for recovery if needed.
