| | tool to find out how much RAM Vista sees? Hi, there, I have a 64 bit processor with 4 gigs of RAM. I'm going to install both 32 bit xp and 64 bit Vista. How can I test how much RAM the OS is actually seeing? Thanks. Robert Nagle houston, texas http://www.imaginaryplanet.net/weblogs/idiotprogrammer/ |

Why? You should pick one and stick with it for now. For the present, most people are best off with 32-bit, but that will change over the next few years. Here are the answers: 64-bit - all the RAM you install 32-bit - all the RAM you install up to about 3.1GB But if you want to see the numbers yourself, right click on "Computer" and choose Properties. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

I don't know why you would want to test the RAM, but you can see how much Vista is using. You must NOT be a programmer, unless your NICK is true, idiotprogrammer! Just FYI.
