| | Running Administrative Processes at Boot w/o User Intervention I have two applications that require administrative priveliges that I like to run when Windows starts, except I have to go through a 6- click procedure just to get those two programs running when I boot. I wish maybe the programmers would wise up and write it as a service but they haven't, so now I am dealing with it. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can have these two programs run automatically without my intervention at boot? If not, shouldn't there be some kind of feature like that in UAC? Please SP1, Please!! -- --------------------------------- --- -- - Posted with NewsLeecher v3.8 Final Web @ http://www.newsleecher.com/?usenet ------------------- ----- ---- -- - |

| | Re: Running Administrative Processes at Boot w/o User Intervention Hi, You can't, not without disabling UAC. If there were a way, then trust me the virus writers would be taking advantage of it. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "2645" <e@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:rzzOi.9$Vl.8@xxxxxx Quote: >I have two applications that require administrative priveliges that > I like to run when Windows starts, except I have to go through a 6- > click procedure just to get those two programs running when I boot. > I wish maybe the programmers would wise up and write it as a service > but they haven't, so now I am dealing with it.
