Guest Account

Having a look through Belarc Advisor I see that Guest User has logged on 5
times - the latest being a couple of weeks ago. As I am the only person who
uses this PC I wonder what is going on.

Looking at Control Pannel\User Accounts\Manage Accounts shows Guest Turned
Off - I've never changed this setting.

I have a laptop networked to this PC - and looking there it also has a Guest
Account - 38 logons - the latest this morning. This also shows as Turned
Off. The laptop is a Compac.

Both machines are Vista Home Premium.

Can someone advise how this is happenning please?

Re: Guest Account

Hi,

The Guest account is used for network sharing of files. If you are accessing
shared files/folders on the system from another machine, this would account
for what you are seeing.
