| Guest | Restoring a backup from a external drive I need help. When I bought my computer, it had XP loaded since vista had not been released. While using XP, my screen saver would not work. When i received my free copy of vista, i upgraded over XP instead of a clean install. Still, my screen saver did not work. Tech support suggested I do a clean install, so I backed up everything to a external drive. Now, after reloading Vista, I can no longer access the backup files. the restore program sees the external drive, but not the files. Oh, and by the way, my screen saver still won't work! -- Glen |
