Permanently Set Dev. Mgr. to Show Hidden Devices

I'm new to Vista...how do I do that?

Start Orb -> Control panel -> System -> Advanced system settings ->
System properties -> Advanced tab -> Environment variables

Then add a "New" System variable
devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices with a value of 1

Then OK OK

Hope that's not too terse.
