If you want to see which programs are installed: Orb -> Control panel -> Programs and features is the place. If you want to see what directories the programs have installed into: C:\Program Files\ (or C:\Program files (x86)\) If you want to see the start menu contents: C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu C:\Users\your name\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu If you want to see what data directories they use there are several places. |

| | Re: Program folder in Start menu for ALL USERS I want to see the folder "START MENU" for ALL users. I cannot navigate to C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu, as I don't have "All Users" under Users. Under Users I only have the names for the users of my PC and NOT "All Users". I don't know why??? --Gudmund "cvp" <goaway@xxxxxx> skrev i meddelelsen news:OCOKa6zCIHA.5288@xxxxxx Quote: > Gudmund Liebach Nielsen wrote: Quote: >> I wonder if somebody knows how to navigate to the folder PROGRAMS for ALL >> USERS? >> >> I want to open this folder and see all the folders for installed >> programs. >> >> Can somebody help? > Sure, but it's not obvious what you're looking for: > > If you want to see which programs are installed: > Orb -> Control panel -> Programs and features > is the place. > > If you want to see what directories the programs have installed into: > C:\Program Files\ (or C:\Program files (x86)\) > > If you want to see the start menu contents: > C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu > C:\Users\your name\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu > > If you want to see what data directories they use there are several > places. > |

The Start menu fir All Users is located at: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu "C:\Users\All Users" isn't actually a real directory; it's just a Symlink to C:\ProgramData. Note that C:\ProgramData is normally a Hidden directory. To view it in Explorer, you'll need to turn on the "Show hidden files and folders" option in Folder Options. Hope it helps. | | Re: Program folder in Start menu for ALL USERS Yes I have that: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start menu, so the problem is solved. I don't know why "Programdata" is a hidden directory, but anyway I can set "show hidden files" on so I can see it. Thank you. --Gudmund "cvp" <goaway@xxxxxx> skrev i meddelelsen news:u13EPL0CIHA.5228@xxxxxx Quote: > Gudmund Liebach Nielsen wrote: Quote: >> I want to see the folder "START MENU" for ALL users. >> I cannot navigate to C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu, as >> I don't have "All Users" under Users.
