Upgrade to Windows Vista Business version

After running the Windows Vista Upgrade Advsor, the result is as follows;
based on our scan of your system Windows vista Business appears to be the
best edition for you.

Currently the Operating system I have is Windows XP Professional.
My question is if I use the clean intallation verion (full version rather
the upgrade will there be any problem). I know the price of the full vesion
is higher that the upgrade one. But if there is no problem I would have
preferred the Business full version upgrad.

Re: Upgrade to Windows Vista Business version

If you choose a Clean install, it format the system and put all your data
and files and settings in a folder called Windows.Old.

You can actually buy the Upgrade version and use it for clean installs:

No matter what you do it with, you're always better off doing a clean
install, even though Vista's method for upgrading is significantly different
(and better) than how it was handled with XP.

Re: Upgrade to Windows Vista Business version

The difference with the Upgrade version of a Vista SKU is that it requires
that you have a qualifying product installed on the system.

RE: Upgrade to Windows Vista Business version

Hi Gebre,

If you follow the instructions in my post 'Clean Install Windows Vista Using
Upgrade Media', alos in this newsgroup (dated 9/21/2007), you will be able to
install any version of Vista. If you want a version with everything included,
then I recommend Vista Ultimate.

Agreed.

Ultimate is a combination of Home Premium, Business and Enterprise
editions of Windows Vista.

Re: sent mail

Im having the same problem and using Earthlink spam blocker software for
buisness. Vista does not update with earthlink software, Earthlink came out
with an update but it dont help at all. Eartlink says McAfee is the problem,
but they have no fix so i keep calling them for credit till they fix it.
