| | Vista Media Center Video Error Hi whenever I trey to play a video from my hard disk including the sample videos preloaded on the computer i get the following message Video Error Files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly. Please restatr windows media player or restart the computer. i do both of these and still the same error appears how can i play videos? thankyou |

| | Re: Vista Media Center Video Error I have a similar problem. I start WMC and when I go into my videos it halts WMC then shuts it down. I can view pictures and listen to my music. | | Re: Vista Media Center Video Error I havethe same problem, WMC plays music and can view photographs but when I try and watch recorded tv it comes up with Video Error. Also, it wont download the TV guide from the internet. The problem seemed to occur when I installed Norton Internet Security 2008. Can anyone help, PLEASE! | | RE: Vista Media Center Video Error I think, i could have the same problem. I have vista in my computer and i have being using media center home with out problems for 6 mounths. the problem is, when i try to start a movie at media center cant read the file or just think its nothing there,same problems with some photos. Only happents with Xvid or divx . I have try to download new coeds to see if i maybe make it work but ............ same problem its like just stop toreconice the files......thnks for any ideas!!!!!
