Windows Vista Splash Screen

I have a start up problem. It is Dell's article # 316056. On startup,
There is a bar that fills in white. Sometimes it fills in only half way and
it just freezes, thus no startup. I have to shut it down again, and start
over. Usually, it will go ahead and complete startup the second time
around. And it doesn't always act up. But it is a pain. I restored my
system to factory restore. It didn't help, and I didn't think it would.
But that article #316056 suggested that be done. It was like this when I
got it from Dell. So restoring it, was for nothing. Does anyone know
about this problem? If so, please help! ahwah

Re: Windows Vista Splash Screen

The best advice is to call Dell and arrange to return the system in exchange
for one that works. If a computer has a problem as serious as this, right
out of the box, I would not trust it to be very dependable.

Re: Windows Vista Splash Screen

Hi,

If it did this right from the start, then you probably have a hardware
issue. Exercise your warranty, as the system or a component likely needs
replacing.

Re: Windows Vista Splash Screen

Sounds like a hardware issue. Send it back.
