synchronize with internet time server

Hi,

I have been trying to make my computer time & internet time the same. I have
downloaded the Vista patch due to daylight savings but still had no luck.
I have clicked on DATE and TIME settings, under the Internet tab, my
computer wont synchronize with internet time server. It keeps coming up: An
error has occurred while windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com

Do you know how I can fix this??

Thanks

Re: synchronize with internet time server

I got it also. I tried to ping time.windows.com, the response was always
request time out. I just assume that the server is not there

Re: synchronize with internet time server

Try using a different time server. A quick Google search will show that
there are many you can choose from.

Re: synchronize with internet time server

That's not unusual at all. Most servers won't return a ping. That's a
security choice that the server administrator makes.

Right Click on Time in taskbar
Choose adjust date and time
Choose internet Tab

Re: synchronize with internet time server

Any chance your firewall program is blocking the time application?

Hi Bex,

This tutorial will help you resolve your problem. You most likely will need to select a new time server.
