Hi, I have a windows Vista Ultimate which I had already activated on my
machine. now I have changed the Machine with a new one and when i try to
activate Vista with the same key it says it is already in use. I'm not using
the Vista on my old machine. How can i release the previous activation

Re: Windows Vista Ultimate Activation

Hi,

You don't release it, you use the phone activation method to (re)activate it
on the new system. Your key will be reported as being in use by the
automated system, so you need to speak to a phone rep who will activate it
for you. Simply call, go through the automated system and if it fails hold
the line for a real person to assist you.

Keep in mind that if it is an OEM version, then you can't legally move
it to another machine. You can only do that with the retail version.
If it is a retail version, then when you activate it on the new machine,
you'll need to format the drive on the old machine to remove it.

Re: Windows Vista Ultimate Activation

NEWSFLASH!!

Vista can be activated online one time only.

Information was aquired from actual expeirience and from Microsoft directly.

If you have already activated Vista online, any further activation of your product key, will need to be done via land line.

Re: Windows Vista Ultimate Activation

Not entirely true.
Part depends on time between activations.
If you have a shorter time between activations, you will more likely
need to activate by phone.

No, it's your concept and fear of WGA that is flawed...just like your
character is flawed.
