windows host process rundll32 has stopped working

Hi all

I keep getting the following;


Faulting application rundll32.exe, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp
0x4549b0e1, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp
0x4549bdc9, exception code 0xc00000fd, fault offset 0x000447f2, process id
0x10b4, application start time 0x01c80d5e4fe7f74b.
and i dont know where else to search for a solution to this problem.
Cant even open control panel as it crashes with same error.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you run a full virus and spyware scan on your computer? You can scan for
spyware using Windows Defender by clicking on Start > All Programs > Windows
Defender, and then in the Windows Defender window click on the arrow next to
"Scan" and select "Full Scan".

I will do a full a/v scan tonight.

Additionally, is ALSNDMGR.CPL or BCMWLCPL.CPL on your system?
