| | Security Center service won't start We have a customer with Vista Home Premium on an HP laptop that cannot get the Security Center service to start. When going into services.msc and going to the properties of the service and it says: Configuration Manager: The Specified device instance handle does not correspond to a present device. Click ok on that box and it allows you to go to the properties but if you try to start it it says: Windows could not start the Security Center service on Local Computer. Error 1083: The executable program that this service is configured to run does not implement the service. Any thoughts? Sincerely, Brian S. Bergin Please post replies here so everyone may benefit. msdndotnntpdotnospamdot1atcomceptdotnet (replace dot with .) |
