File types

I have just moved (up or down, depending on your view) from XP to Vista.

What is the equivalent of the "File Types" tab (file associations), and
how do I get there? I got to the Folder Options in Windows Explorer,
but it doesn't seem to have a File Types tab.

RE: File types

It's under Default Programs on the Start menu.

Re: File types

Ernie

Open Start / Help and Support and type 'file types' in the search box. Click
the first link in the results for information on working with file types in
Vista.

Hi Ernie,

As Mary stated, it is in Default Programs now in the Control Panel. This tutorial will be useful for you. Look at method two and the related links for how to see and use this.

Default Programs

Hope this helps you,
