Windows Vista and Hardware

I bought my mother a new computer and it came loaded with Windows Vista. She
is experiencing a problem with the monitor periodically going black and then
coming back on. After a few times of doing this.....a message pops up and
says that the display driver has experienced a problem and recovered. Is
this a problem with the Windows Vista drivers? Do I need to try to download
a new driver for the monitor?
I only replaced the Tower. The printer and monitor that she had were pretty
new, so I did not replace them when I purchased the new computer. Thank you.
If anyone has an answer, my email address is HalPick56@xxxxxx

Re: Windows Vista and Hardware

Hi,

Update the video drivers to the most recent release from the video card
manufacturer. Uninstall the existing supporting software first.

Re: Windows Vista and Hardware

You may have to do the same for the printer.
