| | Syncing with iPAQ I have an iPAQ hx2495 and until recently had no problems synching it with my computer which has Vista Home Premium installed. Sych Center does not even recognize anything being attatched to my computer and yet Device Manager has no problem ID'ing my PDA. In addition Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't open when the icon is clicked. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Windows Mobile Device Center and that has done nothing to help. The iPAQ has Windows Mobile 5.0 on it and nothing is going wrong with it. I have also tried every possible permutation of unplugging my cradle and plugging it in again, taking the PDA off the cradle, restarting the computer, etc. If someone could help that would be great. |

| | Re: Syncing with iPAQ Already did that. What do you think of reseting my laptop/reinstalling vista? This is kinda a big deal for me since I am a medical student and my PDA is my best friend and am dying without it in the hospital "Justbob30" wrote: Quote: > Try giving it permission in the firewall. > > "Paul" <Paul@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:9DB9060C-8A7D-42BA-945F-18339CAE9100@xxxxxx Quote: > >I have an iPAQ hx2495 and until recently had no problems synching it with > >my > > computer which has Vista Home Premium installed. | | Re: Syncing with iPAQ Does the PDA has a reset (softreset not hard) ? If so push that once not connected and then reconnect. It's a USB connection problem where one thinks it's still connect so no action. after a softreset it will work again. Ko. | | RE: Syncing with iPAQ I had the same problem. I finally realized that Windows mobile device center was not properly installed. I did download the newest version. Shut off all antivirus, antispyware, and firewall. Reboot the PDA, plug in the PDA, and then reload windows mobile device 6.1 from a downloaded saved file. You know that it is installed if it automatically proceeds after loading to recognize and synch the PDA |

| | RE: Syncing with iPAQ I have Dell Axim 50V with Windows Mobile 2003 and Vista OS with Windows Mobile 6.1. Darn thing was syncing with Outlook initially but now it does not, like all other people. This is major problem but MS is keeping so quiet like everything is OK with Mobile 6.1. "zydeco" wrote: Quote: > I had the same problem. | | RE: Syncing with iPAQ I also have a horror story. During month's I had no problems to sync my iPAQ 3115 with Outlook. After a dead battery it will not sync anymore. I get a error message: "The connection failed due to missing server information or user credentials. Tap Options, and then the Server tab to verify that your server name is correct. Then, tap Options... to verify that your user credentials arr correct and try again. Error code: DEV_9" Where do I find the user credentials, and/or the server information? How should it be be set? No idea, No idea where to find it. |
