| | No sound after sleep mode. Before going into sleep mode the sound works fine. After exiting sleep mode I have no sound anymore. The computer is delivered with Vista and it has happened to two identical computers (laptop) so I doubt it is hardware failure. Any ideas?? |

| | Re: No sound after sleep mode. I am having a similar problem. My computer was working like a charm and suddenly, one night it started to fail. After putting my computer to sleep then I still have sound but a very annoying very low resolution sound. Everything sounds terrible. I have not tried yet the patches but this is very weird to the point I am not using the sleep function any more. Once I restart my computer, then the sounds get back to its normal 'state'. Any ideas aside from the so mentioned patches??? ASUS M2NPV-VM integrated HD Sound (6 channels) --> all drivers up to date.
