Need Wireless Desktop (keyboard) 8000 question

I have just purchased and installed the new Windows Wireless Desktop 8000 on
a Vista Home Premium machine and can't figure out how to do a PrintScreen.
All the Help screens reference an F-Lock key (which this version does not
have, it has an Fn key instead). Seeing as how there is practically NO
documentation that comes with this keyboard, I'm at something of a loss.
I've tried CTRL and the + key (it has PrtScn under it) with no luck. I've
tried the Fn key with the + key AND I've tried the Alt key with the + key.
Nothing will get me a Print of the Screen!! Any help will be GREATLY
appreciated!!

You should have an extensive help file with this unit. The Fn key
replaces the F lock key, but is not used the same way. The F lock key
does just as the name implies but the Fn key must be held while pressing
a function key.

Click start> all programs> Microsoft Keyboard> Help.

Mine is the 1000 model, but the help file is complete with all the
instructions. You should also check to see if the keyboard is mapped to
include the functionality you want.

Another thing you can try- Hold Fn and click insert, if you have that on
your keyboard.

I apologize for the confusion. In my previous posts I was speaking from
experience, but as we know with Vista past experience is not a good
guideline.

I "think" that in Vista with Aero enabled, print screen has been
replaced with the snipping tool.

Re: Need Wireless Desktop (keyboard) 8000 question

Thanks Dave,

I've actually gotten two screen shots to actually work so far...both 'took'
using the Ctrl and the + key but, sadly, it doesn't work consistently.

I'll look into the snip tool (I DO have the Aero turned on) as I've either
got to find something I can live with that will do screen captures or I'm
going to take the silly thing back where I bought it!!

I figure I'll finally get used to the number key pad being what I consider
in a bad place but the print screen feature is something I use a LOT.

Thanks again for the pointers!

Re: Need Wireless Desktop (keyboard) 8000 question

Sadly, the help screens for this model are SAD! They refer to keys and
functions that are different with this model over previous models and don't
really tell how to achieve much with this one. It's like they just inserted
the words "may be different on some models" where ever something is actually
different without exlaining how the difference functions! GRRR..

You will like the snipping tool over print screen because it allows user
defined cropping.
