Hard drives not recognized anymore

EDIT: PROBLEM FIXED, see second post below.

I have 4 HDs total. A WD Raptor 74gb, 2x WD raptor 150gb, and a WD Caviar SE 320gb.

I uninstalled both the chipset and display drivers from Nvidia, and then booted in safe mode to use Driver Sweeper to remove any remnants.

Upon reinstalling both drivers, my 2 150gb HDs which are in RAID 0 are not showing up at all. During the BIOS boot, it shows the RAID array as healthy. In the BIOS, no settings were changed (SATA 3 and 4 are still enabled along with RAID being enabled).

When I use disk management, they RAID setup does not appear at all even after rescanning for new hardware.

I have tried unplugging and plugging the HDs back in the SATA ports when the computer is turned off. I then turned the comp back on, but it still did not recognize the HDs.

All of my games and their subsequent saves are on the RAID HDs.

Please offer some advice for me.

163.75 and 15.08 version of drivers.

Edit:My RAID array was the "D" drive, but that is now assigned to my media drive...

I changed the media drive back to "F."

Also, there are some games in the Vista Games Explorer that are still there, and show a location of D:\ etc, but I can't open them.

Second Edit: Windows update indicated there was a RAID update dated 07/29/07. I installed it and restarted. Upon restart, it fixed nothing. In the system tray, a message popped up saying Windows failed to install important updates. Now Windows Update will not open. This is the second time I have had problems with Windows Update. I have gone through hell with this stuff. Last time I spent 11 hrs in total on the phone with Microsoft, and the only thing they could offer me as a solution was to reformat my hard drives.

Is there any way to get Windows Update to open, rather than clicking on the start menu icon. On Microsoft Download Center they do not have the Raid array driver there. On Nvidia's website, they do not have the driver. I believe it was around 900kb. Please someone help me.

I also cannot right-click on "computer" and go to properties. It does the same thing as when I try to activate Windows Update - nothing.

Re: Hard drives not recognized anymore

I fixed the problem using system restore. I still have a minor problem, however.

I wish to remove all of the Nvidia Drivers and reinstall them. Is there any way I can do this safely without affecting the RAID 0 setup I have?

Re: Hard drives not recognized anymore

Device Manager Locate the nVidia controller on the list. Right click.
Update driver.
