Maybe the drive in the enclosure isn't formatted. I just plug in my 250GB USB external backup drive, the green USB icon instantly appears, and My Computer sees it as a drive, with the next available HD letter. Pen drives also show up instantly. With obscure devices DriverMagic "may" find drivers, this works best for updating drivers, but it has worked for finding drivers. Possibly because there was a generic MS driver, and DMagic found the mfrs. driver. Like my wireless USB stick is ZyDas based, they have been taken over, takeover mfrs website did not seem to have a support/download drivers page, DM found them. Likewise with my USB Nisis graphics tablet, MS has a generic HID Human Interface Device driver, DM found a better one. |
