| | IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter Driver I Am Running Windows Vista Beta 2 x86 (I Have x64, Although Most Of My Drivers Would Not Work In x64.) I Installed Windows Vista, And It Did Not Come With The Wireless Driver, Which Was Not What I Hoped, As I Don't Know The Manufacturer's Company. I Also Searched Google, No Useful Results. If Anyone Has A x86 And/Or A x64 Driver For IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter Reply To This Question. Thanks, ![]() |

IEEE 802.11g is the specifications the card complies with and could be made by any of the manufacturers that do wireless cards. Go to: http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/11/ and maybe you'll get a clearer idea of what "IEEE 802.11g" means. |

| | Re: IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter Driver This Isn't Helping. The Driver Name IS: IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter And The Model Is Not Specified On The Net, Users Manual Classifies It As IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter And Does Not Tell Manufacturer Or Model. The Card's Sticker Didn't Help Either. | | Re: IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter Driver IEEE 802.11a/b/g is the technical name for the accepted and approved Wi-fi standard. It is not a model name or a manufacturer name. Without knowing more about the equipment you have, it is not possible to help you. Is there possibly a model number or a serial number on the card? | | Re: IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter Driver What you have to understand and accept is there IS NOT a single driver for devices that comply with the IEEE 802.11g specifications. There are several manufactures of chips that meet the IEEE 802.11g specifications and a unique driver, specific to the particular chip, is provided by each of those manufacturers. A single IEEE 802.11g driver for all the different chips DOES NOT EXIST! RHY3756547 wrote: > This Isn't Helping. | | RE: IEEE 802.11g Wireless Cardbus/PCI Adapter Driver If that computer has a wired ethernet port connect it to your router to get online or use a dial-up modem. Once online right click the Wireless Cardbus Adapter in device manager and choose update driver. Vista should then include your online connection to also include what it finds on the internet.
