    external hard drive

    hi

    i bought a laptop with vista but some of my devices still do not have a
    compatiable program. i was thinking about buying a external hard drive and
    putting my old xp on it? could this be done and run ok. the external drive
    would have to run through my vista laptop

    Windows XP cannot be installed on an external drive...only an internal drive.
