| | No Drive Letter for External DH I have a Maxtor 3200 external drive and a Corsair Voyager flash drive. Until last week Vista assigned the letter G for the Voyager and F for the Maxtor. I had trouble accessing the Maxtor and opened up disk manager. It shows the Maxtor drive as healthy but there is now no drive letter. It's blank and I can't assign one either. I did a Google search and came up with a supposed solution. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/0...irewire-drive/ At the bottom of the article is a possible solution via the registry. So I deleted the F and G drive in the registry and rebooted. I plugged in the Voyager and Vista assigned the letter F to it. When I plugged the Maxtor in nothing happened. Device Manager lists the drive and everything seems normal other than no drive letter and I can't access the drive. Thank you |
