VGA - Help

I have purchased a new game, downloaded the latest DirectX software but the
game will not work.

It apears that the video controller (VGA) on my lap top is switched off. I
cannot get this switched back on by conventional means as the system cannot
detect the hardware. It is promting me to insert a disc that I may have
received when I purchased the lap top. I did not receive one.

Does anyone have any ideas about how I can overcome this?

Re: VGA - Help

What resolution are you trying to send to the external PC monitor/TV that
you have connected to your laptops VGA connector?
DX9 software only works if your internal graphics card/chip also supports
DX9.
