| | Monitor (not just generic)? I have the same monitors for my computers - XP Pro had no problems my monitor shows as ASUS without loading any of the software. Purchased another ASUS for this setup but Vista only shows as Generic monitor. Is it possible to enable the monitor as an ASUS with Vista beta? The screen size selection is fine but just wondered if I could change from the generic to make sure refresh rates are set for this. I checked my ASUS disc but the software seems to be for the pivot things which I don't require at this stage. |

| | Re: Monitor (not just generic)? I'm not seeing drivers for Asus in this version of Vista. They'll probably be available soon, though. | | Re: Monitor (not just generic)? Thanks Bob I was using sleep for Vista and had a slight blip when using my monitor next day. It may have been a co-incidence but the monitor didn't power on. It came out of sleep no problem it was after shut down and tried to boot next day. Thankfully I have 2 ASUS and swapped the power supply to test - it worked and when I put it back on the Vista computer the monitor was fine. I haven't used Sleep again in case the conflict was due to the fact Vista only sees the Generic. Hopefully next release will have ASUS or at least the full release. | | Re: Monitor (not just generic)? My monitor drivers are available but do not work with the graphics driver. I'm stuck with non p-n-p which has to load on a boot with the monitor disconnected. try not to feel too bad (; "pippin" <pippin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B9B2C934-D019-4029-836F-A17B00D5FADA@microsoft.com... > Thanks Bob > > I was using sleep for Vista and had a slight blip when using my monitor > next > day.
