Vista - Mouse disappears in Windows Media Center

When I start the Windows Media Center, the mouse disappears. If I am lucky,
I can motion it to an icon and click on it. It's a long and painful waste of
time, so usually end up ctrl/alt/del and ending the program. This problem
only began after several months of having Windows Vista Home Premium (bought
new computer with Widows Vista). Not sure what caused the problem.
