DVD-RW recognized as CD

I run a Windows XP with a DVD-RW and all of a sudden its being recognized as
a CD drive for no apparent reason. Help?

This newsgroup is for Vista users. Someone here may know the answer but try
the microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware newsgroup for help. More
information about your computer and what you last did with your optical
drive before the error occurred will go a long way towards others wanting to
help.
