How to connect External Synthesizer with 2 pin DIN plugs for MIDI-IN & MIDI-OUT

Under XP with SoundBlaster Live card, I could connect the external synthesizer using the Gameport on the SB Card. After installing Vista, I have had to change to an SB Audigy card which has no Gameport. Is there any way to connect the same synthesizer to a U S B porton the motherboard, assuming a connector with USB plug at one end and two 5-pin DIN Plugs at the synthesizer end is available. Does Vista or anyone else has the driver for enabling such connection?

RE: How to connect External Synthesizer with 2 pin DIN plugs for MIDI-

Two lines of thought:
#1.- If you are running Vista x86, go to the Vista forums in creativelabs
web site.
You will find there support drivers for "old" SBLive cards in one thread and
also how to use your gameport (don't know if that enables MIDI too) in
another thread.
#2.- Vista drivers for your suggested adapter (USB to MIDI) should be
provided by the hardware manufacturer. A little googling might help you there.
Last but not least, there is no MSFT support for gameports in Vista x64
(neither in XP x64).
