| | Copying Partition D to C on hard drive I went to do a defrag and it looks like partition D has only 9% free space. How do I copy some of the applications to C and not lose the data on D. I would appreciate assistance. Thank you. Mary C. Lydon |

| | Re: Copying Partition D to C on hard drive On many new computers, the D: drive is a recovery partition, with all of the files needed to return the computer to the "as bought" condition. No other files should be saved to this partition. If yours is not a recovery partition, you may move files, but not most applications. -- http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "Mary C." <MaryC@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:A7DB89EE-310B-485F-8059-1D2EB9947CDE@xxxxxx Quote: > I went to do a defrag and it looks like partition D has only 9% free > space. > How do I copy some of the applications to C and not lose the data on D. > > I would appreciate assistance. > > Thank you. > > Mary C.
