So, in other words...
you opened a Word doc from an email, edited it, saved it, closed Word.
then you reopened the doc, and your edits were gone?
Did you open the doc attachment in the email, or did you save it first?
If you edited the attachment, then it's saved somewhere among your temp
files.. good luck in finding it.
You should always save the attachment to disk, close the email, go to the
saved file, then open it, if you want to edit it.
If you did this, then perhaps you saved it to a different place than you
thought. Do a search for the file name.
