Seems to be a common issue. Some suggest to deactivate
the "SSDP Discovery Service" or to "Clear Past Items
from the Notification Area":
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283084

Please let us know if one of these helps.

You can manually bring up the 'Safely Remove Hardware'
dialog by this commandline:
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

Re: Safely Remove Hardware

I entered HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
but there is no TrayNotify in here.
How can I manually bring up?

Re: Safely Remove Hardware

Have you really looked for a key named TrayNotify, not a value?
