| Guest | Mouse problems when typing I have a Toshiba laptop and when I am typing, and I don't even touch the mouse, the cursor out of nowhere goes where ever the mouse pointer is. I want to know how to temporarily disable and enable the mouse so that I am not so frustarated when I am typing a paper for school or just typing an email. I don't even have to touch the mouse and the pointer moves on the computer. I have tried holding down the FN key and F9 at the same time because it shows the symbol for the mouse, but it does nothing. Is there anyone out there that would have suggestions as to how to fix this? |

| Guest | Re: Mouse problems when typing You can disable the tapping function of your touch pad. This will mean you will have to use the buttons for clicking, right-clicking and double-clicking etc but this is a small price to pay. Depending on the manufacturer you'll either find an icon in the system tray (right-hand end of the task bar) or you'll have to look in the Control Panel for it. Sometimes it'll be an extra tab in the Mouse Properties; other times there's be a separate Control Panel applet for it. Either way, once you've found it you're looking for a checkbox that either says "Enable tapping" or "Disable tapping", or something along those lines.
