I just bought this Gigabyte motherboard (GA-M57SLI-S4) from Newegg and installed it with 4 x 1GB sticks of Crucial DDR2 800 RAM and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+. I also have two Nvidia 7600 GT XFX cards SLI'd. I have two SATA HDD's, one SATA DVD-RW, and one IDE DVD/CD-RW.
I got everything assembled fine, but every time I power on it goes to the Vista loading screen (loaded perfectly from my previous build), gives me a BSOD, and restarts. The error numbers I get with the Vista BSOD are: 0x0000007B (0x80406BA0, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). When trying the Startup Repair utility on the Vista install disk, one of two things will happen: it will get partway through the process, give me an error and freeze (this has only happened once or twice so I was not able to copy the error information down), or BSOD. The error numbers I get while trying the Startup Repair are: 0x0000000A (0x969B010E, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x888BA8D7). I've tried flashing the BIOS with the included driver CD, but the application doesn't recognize the drive (but it does inside the BIOS). I've tried booting with an IDE drive with Windows XP installed but it claimed the drive was unbootable. Do you guys have any ideas?
