Intel Turbo Memory Card: This device cannot start. Code 10

Hi,

I just installed an Intel Turbo Memory Card, together w/Intels very latest
driver, on my Gateway P-6831 FX laptop w/the Vista Home Premium OS.

It appears not to be working.

Under the Device Manager, under the Storage Controllers, The Intel Turbo
Memory Controller, has a Yellow mark, indicating a problem, under which the
Device Status says: The device can not start. (Code 10).

Any ideas on how I can fix this issue?

Thx

Hello,

"PLEASE", Can anyone help me? I checked w/the laptop manufacturer, they tell
me to go see the device manufacturer, Intel. Intel tells me to see the laptop
manufacturer or Microsoft.

I've also searched all across the web, w/no answers.

I had the same problem.
Turbo memoy only works on vista because this is the only microsoft OS that supports sata on AHCI mode. First make shure you have the last turbo memory drivers, you probably have, but nothing like checking.
Now, checkig the sata mode. Run your bios and search for advance feactures...there should be a IDE configuration tab and then a sata mode. The options on the sata mode can be compatiblity mode or enhaced mode, if this is the case then choose enhaced. If not,go fot the one that should be AHCI. If after changing this options your OS doesn't run then that means you installed it with the previous configuration and that also means you have to format you pc and install the OS with the new configuraion.
Good luck and if the problem continuous pm me.
