iPod Vista problem

I'm running a desktop system with Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1.

Yesterday my new iPod Shuffle (2 GB) arrived. Not long after plugging it in
I got a Microsoft .NET Framework error that keeps popping up:

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click
Continue, the application will ignore this error an attempt to continue. If
you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Index was outside
the bounds of the array."

Additionally, I have two USB ports on the front of my desktop system. When
I have the iPod connected on one of these front ports, the other USB device
(also plugged into the front) is not recognized.

I'm running the latest iTunes software. After checking with Windows Update,
I am updated with all the latest Vista software, drivers, etc.... at least to
my knowledge.

Anybody have any idea as to what might be going on?

If you believe your issue is related to SP1, you can get free tech support directly from Microsoft. Here's the link:

I hope this helps.
