Vista won't go to sleep, or will come out of sleep

Vista Ultimate 32-bit, SP1 on a Dell Dimension 9100 w/ A03 BIOS.

Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 7000 & Wireless Laser Mouse 8000
Intellipoint 6.2 and Intellitype Pro 6.1 installed

Optional HID-Input Mouse update whatever, from Windows Update, installed.

Ever since getting this combo, and configuring the Bluetooth transceiver,
Vista will not reliably go to sleep or hybrid sleep. Plus, when it does,
and the Dell does correctly go to sleep, Vista will come out of sleep
without me doing anything.

Anybody have some decent things to try to fix this?

Thanks!

Re: Vista won't go to sleep, or will come out of sleep

I had that problem with an older MB... It's in the bios ..

If you enable the USB to wake from sleep, the system will auto start right
after going to sleep. If you disable it in the bios the system will go to
sleep but then the USB kybrd will not wake it of course. You'll have to use
the power button.

On a New system that I just set up, they actually got it right. I can go to
sleep and wake it up with the USB kybrd just fine.

So your problem is with an older MB and it's bios..

I'm assuming that you have your Power Settings set up properly..
