| | ac'97 realtek sound card (onboard) code39 problem After a lot of reinstallations and reboots the problem remains unsolved, doesn't matter where from I installing it (from windows update, cd, or downloaded from site of manufacture, latest driver). Device status message: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available." Does anyone know what to do with this problem? |

| | RE: ac'97 realtek sound card (onboard) code39 problem I took the Vista driver from www.treiber.de, choosing realtek and saved it in "downloads".Then I made a drivers refresh for "Realtek AC“97 Audio" in the "Sound, video and game controllers". I t works fine BUT Windows Media Center cut it down after a few seconds. Up to this moment I do play music with Media Player. | | Re: ac'97 realtek sound card (onboard) code39 problem Try installing an XP driver for your sound card. Works wonderful on my NF4 based mobo which has onboard sound via a Realtek chip...in fact, even though the beta vista driver worked, it skipped alot and had high cpu usage. The XP driver has none of that crap and full functionality.
