    Looking for Vista64 utilities

Has anyone found a way of creating shortcuts to files or folders
in Vista 64 without that ".shortcut" addition to its name.

That can be done under Vista32 using an older version of Tweakui
(v 133). But even though all my applications will work in
Vista 62, none of my utilities (free for the most part) will work.
TwseakUi, Formwhiz (PCMag - no longer free), etc do work,
I miss them and prefer using Vista32 for that reason, although
I would appreciate using more than 3Gig+ of memory.

Thanks for any suggestion, or address where I can get utilities
    for that system.

    Hello Cqui3,

This tutorial will show you how to remove the "Shortcut" name prefix for new shortcuts.

    Shortcut Prefix

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I've always right clicked on the shortcut, clicked 'Rename' and altered the
    name to what I like.

    Hi, cqui3.

I just saw your identical post in another newsgroup (vista.general?). On
those rare occasions when you MUST post the same message to more than one
newsgroup, please cross-post, rather than multi-post. That is, put all the
NG names in the address space of a single post. That way, when I read it in
one NG, it will be marked "Read" - for me - in all NGs and I won't read it
over and over. And users in this NG will know that someone has already
posted the answer in the other NG.

The payoff for you is that all the responses will appear in a single
coherent thread and you won't have to go to each of the NGs to see all the
    replies.
