Vista x64 and Canon LBP 2900

Hello,

Recently I have upgraded my Windows XP Pro (32bit) to Windows Vista Enterprise x64 on my workstation.
Since that time I can't use my Canon LBP-2900 - Canon reports that they are not going to develop drivers for x64 bit operating system. I am confused...
I need to either buy a new x64 compatible printer or going back by downgrading to Windows XP (never!!!)....
Maybe someone solves this problem somehow?

Thanks in advance
