nvidia video driver for HP dv9420us

Ok, I have been having BSOD problems when my notebook wakes to record with
Media Center.
I have a HP dv9420us with nvidia GeForce go 6150 graphics.
Its running Vista Home Premium 64.
Iv been told that when I update my video driver it will cure the BSOD.
The driver version I have is 7.15.10.9815 A
I know the current update is version 7.15.11.6743 A at the HP website but it
wont install.
I get an error saying that I'm not running Vista 64????\
The latest version at nvidia website is 178.24 but it also wont install.
It says I don't have compatible hardware.
Can anyone help? Does anyone know when HP will release the driver that will
work on my PC?

I appreciate any help I can get.

Re: nvidia video driver for HP dv9420us

Please run dxdiag (start --> run --> dxdiag [enter])

After it is done scanning your system, hit the 'save all information'
button. From the saved text file, copy/paste to this thread the following
two sections:

1: System Information
2: Display Devices

Re: nvidia video driver for HP dv9420us

It's Nvidia that will release new drivers for their chipset. Checkout the
website, and get the latest there. HP doesn't write video drivers for
Nvidia.

Good luck.

Net work and Power Icons not in System Tray

I just noticed that the Network and Power icons are no longer in the
notification area.
I went to Start menu Propertys and the check boxes are grayed out.
This has happened before but I dont know how I fixed it.
