| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | External eSATA Hard Drive Issue I have a Seagate 1TB SATAII hard drive that I put in an external enclosure. The enclosure allows for USB and eSATA connections. When I use the USB connector it works fine. When I connect it to the eSATA port of my card reader using an eSATA cable Windows Vista does not recognize the drive as being there. I already have 3 other Seagate internal drives running fine. Am I missing a driver or is there some special set up I need to do for the system to recognize an external eSATA drive? Looking for any help I can get. Thanks. |

| | Re: External eSATA Hard Drive Issue I haven't seen that option in my Asus motherboard, no mention of eSata. By the way my eSata works on my Asus motherboard. | Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: External eSATA Hard Drive Issue D Lirious, Thanks for the info. I chcked my BIOS and all I could find was Sata ACHI MOde (Enable/Disable) and SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode (Enable Native IDE Mode or Disable Legacy IDE Mode) I am not familiary with either of these. Could one of them possibly be the ticket? Thanks |
