nvidea display driver question

Hi.
I've just installed RC1 on my pc, everything seems to be fine but i cannot
seem to install the Nvidea display driver, ive tried a few times but nothing
seems to work, it gets so far then I GET THE MESSAGE 'CANNOT CONTINUE
INSTALL, THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT OPERATING SYSTEM, AND I AM DOWNLOADING THE
VISTA RC1 DRIVERS FROM NVIDEA'S WEBSITE. also, my usb wireless network card
seems to havbe stopped working after the RC1 install. Any ideas or help would
be appreciated considerably.

RE: nvidea display driver question

you can try to search for the drivers inside windows by selecting search for
my drivers manually instead of installing nvidia drivers first.

Did you download the correct version ot the NVIDIA RC1 drivers there are
separate 32bit and 64bit OS versions?

Re: nvidea display driver question

I am only guessing your card may not be supported under that driver package.

Here is a list of the supported cards.

RE: nvidea display driver question

I have the same problem. The question is this. Are you on a laptop or a
desktop? I have the GForce FX Go5600, and the desktop model is supported
under the NVIDIA 96.33 beta. however, the site says that the notebook version
driver is not supported by that driver package. "Keep checking with
NVIDIA.com to see when they will have the notebook driver ready." is what the
site says.
If you are running the notebook version, I can tell you that Windows update
had a temporary driver that I am using now, with no issues..
