Vista - Question About your Computer Security Job (the anxiety).

Hello everyone,

I imagine that the computer security field is a source of constant anxiety
because if a hacker succeeds in accessing company files, you are held
responsible and can loose your job. Is this true ?

How do you deal with this ?

If a hacker succedded in infiltrating the company systems it would be hackers fault. No system is fool proof and it comes down to how desperate the hacker is to infiltrate the system at your company. Make it as hard as possible of course but at the end of the day you can't really worry too much about it.

As long as you did your best with the resources available you shouldn't really lose your job over it. Every company will have different policies and it's best to find out what these are

Only if you are in the IT dept and are responsible for security...an
ordinary user can't possibly be held responsible for a hacker's activities..
