| Vista 32 bit Home Prem. | Vista Firewire: To See or not to See. My problem is that I can't access my Lacie 160 GIG drive(its been formatted NTSC). I've checked all my drivers which are up to date. Here's the weird part. I have this plugged into a 1394 cardbus and when I turn the drive on & check the "safely remove hardware" icon it shows the card & the lacie drive & the drive letter. However If I try to access the drive either at that location or in explorer the system hangs...not locks up and will stay in this state until I turn the drive off. Very Weird....I'm thinking vista's the problem. Is this fixable. I really have had no issues at all with Vista & like it very much. I wonder if there's time to download the Ver.7 trial. Perhaps I find a fix in that Op/Sys. Mike |
